What is Opus Kura?
KURA is a Japanese word and means a kind of historical storehouse usually made of wood and mortar. Opus Kura started from the huge collection of 78rpm discs owned by our transfer engineer, Kiyoshi YASUHARA.
He preserved his collection in such a storehouse (KURA). Also KURA means classic for us, because Japanese usually pronounce classic like KURASIKKU as we do not have L in Japanese. You may know the joke of R and L, like Rice and Lice. Our Logo mark includes a word KURA in Japanese (or Chinese) character.
